Practical Philosophy ClubBringing philosophy back to its roots

Since its inception, philosophy has been a love of wisdom. It’s only recently that philosophers have been seen as pompous academics who discuss ideas that have no practical application in real life.

Philosophy isn’t some esoteric thing, however. It’s the root of our thinking, our minds, our ideas. Every thought is philosophy and we’ve been building our own philosophies since we became sentient.

At Practical Philosophy Club, we are looking to bring that philosophy out, and bring philosophy out of its ivory tower and back into the hands of everyone, where it belongs.

“Those who pioneered the old routes are leaders, not our masters. There has yet to be a monopoly of truth; it lies open to everyone.” – Seneca the Younger, Stoic Philosopher

Who We Are

At Practical Philosophy, we believe in the power of deep, thoughtful discussions to bring people together and inspire critical thinking. Our mission is to create a movement of critical thinkers and build a global community of individuals who approach the world non-dogmatically.

Our in-person weekly meet-ups are designed to provide a welcoming space for people from all walks of life to come together and engage in deep discussions on a variety of topics. Whether you’ve lived a life entirely based in contemplation, an academic philosopher, or just putting your life together, our group offers a platform for you to explore, question, and grow.

What We Do

Every week, we host in-person meet-ups that are open to anyone interested in exploring philosophical ideas and engaging in stimulating dialogue. Our discussions cover a wide range of topics, from ethics and metaphysics to contemporary issues and personal development. By encouraging open-mindedness and critical thinking, we aim to challenge conventional wisdom and inspire new ways of thinking.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a global community of thinkers who approach the world with curiosity, humility, and a willingness to challenge their own beliefs. We believe that by fostering a culture of thoughtful discussion and non-dogmatic thinking, we can contribute to a more open, understanding, and enlightened society.

If you’re looking to connect with like-minded individuals and engage in meaningful conversations, we invite you to join our community.
